Q: What services does Move It Now provide during my move?
A: Move It Now offers a wide range of moving services to make your move as seamless as possible. We can do as little or as much as you would like. To determine if a particular service is authorized for your move, please call your Move It Now move coordinator or check with the person at your company is who handling the move.
Q: What time will the movers arrive?
A: Whenever you want them to. You are the boss.
Q: Can you move us after normal business hours?
A: Yes
Q: Are there any items you cannot transport?
A: Yes.
Q: How will the movers label the boxes?
A: When showing the movers around your office, instruct them as to how each area is to be labeled. Each box will be labeled per your instructions.
Q: What procedure should I follow when filing a claim?
A: In the rare instances when a claim needs to be filed we recommend that you wait to file your claim until all of your boxes have been unpacked and the items inspected. If damage has occurred, immediately contact our claims department to inform them of the problem. Our claims department will promptly mail you a claim form. Follow the instructions on the claim form and return it to us so that we can expeditiously take care of it.
Q: How will my claim be settled and how long will it take?
A: If possible, the damaged item will be repaired or restored to its original condition. Move It Now utilizes the services of professional craftsmen to ensure that the item is repaired to your satisfaction. If this is not possible, our claims department will issue you a monetary settlement. Different claims take different amounts of time for completion. Move It Now’s claim department will do everything possible to settle your claim as quickly and effectively as possible.
Q: Will your movers work on the weekends?
A: Yes. We tailor our services around your busy office schedule.
Q: I realize that Move it Now offers a full service move but is there anything I should do before the movers arrive?
A: Yes. The single most important thing you can do is to be as organized as possible before the movers arrive. You should make sure that:
- All items that are being transported by your employees are clearly marked “DO NOT MOVE” and staged together in a separate place.
- Any items attached to walls or ceilings have been removed.
- All computer, fax, printer and phone equipment has been disconnected and the wires and cables clearly marked.
- Dock and freight elevator use has been reserved from the building management.
Q: Do I have to empty the contents of desks, credenzas and file cabinets?
A: Yes. All loose materials should be placed in boxes. The bottom drawer of lateral files and file cabinets can remain full. All other drawers should be emptied into boxes.
Q: Can you move my photocopy machines, printers and plotters?
A: Most models need to be moved by the leasing agent or service contract provider. If these services are not performed, it may void the equipment ‘s service contract or warranty. If you own this equipment we will be happy to move it. Please ensure that all toner cartridges have been removed.
